Gift of Joy to Mater Dei's Brown Ward

The festive season has inspired the Year 2 and Year 1 educators at De La Salle College to embrace the spirit of giving and kindness. With a heartwarming initiative, they decided to uplift the spirits of those facing health challenges by preparing Christmas crafts to decorate the Brown Ward at Mater Dei Hospital.
Enthusiastically, the young students together with their class educators poured their creativity into crafting beautiful Christmas decorations, knowing that their handmade crafts would bring joy to the patients in the hospital. The classrooms buzzed with creativity as the little ones enthusiastically crafted beautiful Christmas decorations.
A special assembly was organized at the school, creating a platform for the young students to proudly present their crafts. The air was filled with excitement and anticipation as three nurses from the Brown Ward at Mater Dei Hospital attended the event to receive the heartfelt gifts. The nurses expressed genuine gratitude, explaining how these carefully crafted Christmas items would undoubtedly brighten the days of the patients. They took a moment to share with the students the profound impact such gestures have on the spirits of those undergoing medical challenges, turning their hospital stay into a more festive and uplifting experience.
As a token of appreciation, the nurses surprised the students with a small gift, symbolizing their heartfelt gratitude for the selfless act of kindness displayed by the young hearts. This meaningful collaboration between De La Salle College and Mater Dei Hospital instilled in the students a sense of compassion, empathy, and the joy that comes from giving selflessly. In the true spirit of Christmas, the act of thinking of others has created a ripple of positivity fostering a spirit of giving that extends well beyond the holiday season.
