A yeast fermentation experiment
During their Science lesson, year 5 students carried out a yeast fermentation experiment using water, yeast, and sugar in four different glasses, each under different conditions.
They were first asked to anticipate the result of each of the glasses and then, analyse it 🔍 Through this experiment, the students learnt how specific variables affect the growth of living yeast organisms as well as what causes fermentation.
