During Animal Awareness Week which took place between 22-26 th January, the year 1 boys were given a furry friend (soft toy) to take home to care for. They also had to read animal friendly books to their new friend for 10 minutes a day. In class we focused on learning to have compassion for animals to instil an empathetic and responsible attitude towards all furry, feathered and finned friends. Some of the boys then shared photos with us and told us how they are showing kindness to their new little friend at home. ❤️
