Robotics Club
On October 14th, a new and exciting Robotics Club was launched bringing together enthusiastic students eager to dive into the world of robotics and technology. This initiative is part of the Erasmus project titled ‘Transition from STEM to Robotics’, aimed at enhancing students’ skills and knowledge in the field of robotics.
The first session saw students working with Microbit, a versatile and user-friendly microcontroller, to explore various simulation scenarios. This hands-on experience allowed them to understand the basics of coding and electronics, setting a strong foundation for their future projects.
This club is not just a local endeavour but part of a broader dissemination project. Recently, a group of Computer Studies students, accompanied by their dedicated teachers, travelled to Bielsko-Biała, Poland, for specialised training. This experience provided them with advanced insights and techniques in robotics, which they are now eager to share with their peers.
The learning journey continues as more students are set to travel to Porto, Portugal, next week. This trip will further their understanding of robotics, offering them new perspectives and skills. Upon their return, these students will take on the role of mentors, teaching their peers what they have learned and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
This initiative not only enhances technical skills but also promotes teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity among students. The ‘Transition from STEM to Robotics’ project is a testament to the power of international collaboration in education, preparing students for the technological challenges of the future.
Stay tuned for more updates as these young innovators continue to explore and expand their horizons in the fascinating world of Robotics.
