The Lasallian community has reached another milestone in working towards a better environment for the present and future generations. The EkoSkola team, together with the Junior school students and educators, have been working on a whole-school approach to improve the school environment and bring a positive change in their school community, praticularly in the area of reducing waste. This work was recognized by EkoSkola Malta and De La Salle Junior School was once again awarded the Eko Skola Green Flag.

To celebrate this achievement, the Senior Leadership Team organized a ceremony on Wednesday 17th November, where the students from Year 1 up to Year 6 were congratulated for their efforts/practices in the presence of the School Director of Educational Mission; Mr. Stephen Cachia, the Head of School; Mr. Nicolai Mifsud, Brother Edward Galea, mentor to the Junior School, Professor Paul Pace, EkoSkola  National Director and Ms. Audrey Gauci, EkoSkola coordinator. During the ceremony, the respective members gave a speech where they encouraged the students to continue working on more positive practices which will have a good outcome on the school community and society in general. The two EkoSkola Presidents also gave a speech, in which they highlighted the most important goals which were achieved in the previous scholastic year, while the rest of the EkoSkola members were present to help raise the Green Flag together with the Head of the Junior School; Mr. Nicolai Mifsud.
