Three of the boys in class have a mummy who was born in anotherrcountry. Together with their mum, these boys helped their classmate learn three special phrases in Hungarian, Nepalese and Chinese.

Throughout the year, the boys have learnt various songs that they sing and move to, during their morning prayer.

Concern for the Poor and Social Justice
Grade 1 Bro Arnold
The boys learnt about compliments and positive comments, and how such comments can help make someone feel good about himself. They randomly picked up a photo of a classmate and thought of a positive message to give to the boy in the picture. They then exchanged messages amongst themselves. Lots of smiles and happy thoughts were shared.

The boys pulled up their sleeves and put on their gloves for a neighbourhood cleanup. They also cleaned the church parvis. The waste was sorted into recylable and non-recyclable waste. Along the route they met Fr Paul who decided to join in and give a helping hand.

As part of our assembly regarding Kindness, the boys learnt to sign and sing the song “With a little help from my friends”

Following the keen interest shown about the Spitfire during the World War II session, they boys learnt about camouflage and how to make a paper plane. They often practice this skill during break time, using rough paper, and have paper plane races together.
