Our Grade 5 and 6 Football Team’s Triumph
Dominating the Field: Our Grade 5 and 6 Football Team’s Triumph.
During the last day of games at the MEYR National School Football Festival, our Grade 5 and 6 SMC sharks football teams, under the guidance of Mr. Ramon and Mr. Mauro ended their commitments unbeaten in both age categories. The Grade 6 team continued where they had left off on their first day of competitions, winning 6 games out 6 making them an astonishing 11 wins out of 11 games. Here’s a recap of their impressive performances: 5-0 against Thereza Nuzzo, 20-0 against St. Martins College, 7-0 against Marsascala Primary, 9-2 against St. Michaels, 4-1 once again against Thereza Nuzzo and 5-1 against Birkirkara primary. The Grade 5 team also played their hearts out to end their participation in the festival unbeaten. These were their results on day 2: 5-0 win against St. Francis, a 0-0 draw against Attard primary, a 2-0 win against Paola primary and a 2-0 win against Birkirkara primary. Both teams supported each other as noisily and enthusiastically as possible when they were not playing, providing an atmosphere of friendship and brotherhood. Thank you, Boys! You have made Stella Maris College so proud of you.
