As part of the PE curriculum, the Grade 5 students took part in an excursion to the Ta' Qali National Stadium and the MFA premises. The activity was organised by our PE teacher, Mr. Ramon. The students and their educators were guided by Mr. Alfred Zammit, an active member of the MFA and the first coach of the Malta women’s national football team.

The tour began with a visit to the training grounds and the Centenary Stadium, followed by the newly inaugurated National Football Centre. There, the students had the opportunity to observe several foreign male and female football teams who were in Malta for training camps. The visit continued with a tour of the Premier League dressing rooms, the National Team fitness gym, and a walk through the players’ tunnel leading into the National Stadium—used before every national and international match. The excursion concluded with a stop at the Stadium’s football museum.
