Our Projects

Dinja Waħda

Dinja Waħda’s mission is to connect children with nature and trigger behavioural changes that will lead to future adults who will treat our planet better than we do today through engaging environmental education activities.

Despite the COVID-19 challenges, De La Salle College successfully engaged the students in the Dinja Waħda programme over the past scholastic year. Now, more than ever, it is important to encourage teachers to organise lessons outdoors for the well-being of their students.

Educators at De La Salle College Junior College believe that learning outside supports creativity and problem solving in students, enhances cognitive abilities, and improves academic performance. The benefit of connecting children of all ages to nature is conclusive—their social, psychological, academic and physical health is positively impacted when they have daily contact with nature. It also has myriad educational benefits for teaching and learning.
