Stella Maris makes it to Carnival in Gozo
Carnival in Gozo
It has taken a year of waiting for Stella Maris to finally make it to the Victoria carnival in Gozo, a year spent perfecting the dance and float that many of our boys (and staff) will remember. A troupe of over 14 boys from Grade 8 under the tutelage of Janica Debono and Jade Micallef danced as British sailors and pirates, surrounded by a fantastic construction of a galleon, half British and half-pirate, created by the engineering and technology team at SMC.
The boys rose to the occasion as they danced and cavorted in Independence Square or fired canon fulls of glitter against each other. It was also a great evening for all staff and parents who attended the event and one which will hopefully be repeated in the future.
