Erasmus + Professional Development in Ireland
Following an expression of interest, a number of educators from different schools received professional development in the teaching of literacy in the early years.
What a great start to a new scholastic year for us at St Benild!
A teacher representing each grade Ms Christianne and myself, together with the literacy teacher, Ms Maria and Ms Veronique started the year full of enthusiasm about an upcoming project with SFCE Literacy and Numeracy Department.
Over the summer holidays we were invited to follow a 2-day intensive training course in Read Write inc. at another Lasallian school, Colman’s Boys National School in Macroom, Ireland. There we could witness innovative teaching methods that were truly an inspiration for all of us present. As true Lasallians, the headmaster and his members of staff welcomed us and made us feel at home throughout our 2 day visit.
