Three of the boys in class have a mummy who was born in anotherrcountry. Together with their mum, these boys helped their classmate learn three special phrases in Hungarian, Nepalese and Chinese.

Throughout the year, the boys have learnt various songs that they sing and move to, during their morning prayer.

Concern for the Poor and Social Justice

The boys learnt about compliments and positive comments, and how such comments can help make someone feel good about himself. They randomly picked up a photo of a classmate and thought of a positive message to give to the boy in the picture. They then exchanged messages amongst themselves. Lots of smiles and happy thoughts were shared.

Following a class discussion, the boys came up with the neccessary ingredients required for the Recipe for Respect. They created a poster to remind us all!.

The boys learnt the song "Here comes Jesus riding into Town" and listened to the story of Palm Sunday. Then they had the opportunity to act it out. Later in class, they created their own palm leaves to take home.

The boys prepared figolli for Fr Paul and the Fransiscan Community near our school.

The boys learnt about Social Justice. A hands on activity focused on the fair and equal distribution of medical supplies.

The boys pulled up their sleeves and put on their gloves for a neighbourhood cleanup. They also cleaned the church parvis. The waste was sorted into recylable and non-recyclable waste. Along the route they met Fr Paul who decided to join in and give a helping hand.

As part of our assembly regarding Kindness, the boys learnt to sign and sing the song “With a little help from my friends”

Following the keen interest shown about the Spitfire during the World War II session, they boys learnt about camouflage and how to make a paper plane. They often practice this skill during break time, using rough paper, and have paper plane races together.

The boys prepared Easter cards for the neighbours of the school, people who render service in our community and our school van drivers.
